In memory
You will never forget your baby or the experience of losing him or her, at whatever stage of pregnancy. For some parents, this is all they need. Whether or not you choose to remember your baby in particular ways is a very personal decision.
Some bereaved parents find it helps to do or create something that marks the loss of their baby. You should do what feels right for you and try to choose whatever you think may bring you comfort.
We have put together some ‘In Memory’ ideas for you to take a look over:
Share your story
Some people find it helpful to put their thoughts and feelings on paper. Writing can provide an opportunity to reflect on what has happened, express emotions, and preserve memories that are important to them. For some, it can be a meaningful part of their grief journey and a way of making sense of their experiences.
We often hear how the stories shared on our website help other bereaved parents feel less alone in their grief. Many parents tell us that reading these stories has encouraged them to share their own.
Sharing your story is a very personal decision, and not everyone will want to do it. There is no right or wrong choice. If you would like to share your story, you can contact Rebecca at rebecca@arc-uk.org.

Take part in a fundraising event in memory
The majority of our fundraisers take on challenge events or organise community fundraising events in memory of their baby.
“There was a massive hill near the end which is the real challenge and I used Georgie’s memory (and saying her name out loud) to get me up.”
If you have found ARC’s services beneficial and would like to find a way of giving back, whilst remembering your baby, contact Katy (katy@arc-uk.org) who can answer your fundraising queries and mail you a fundraising pack.
ARC’s Daisy Meadow
Our virtual daisy meadow offers a special place for remembrance where you can write a personal dedication and have a daisy added to mark your loss.
Plant a tree in the ARC grove
Planting a memorial tree may provide you with a special way of remembering. We have partnered up with Trees for Life, who have created a special grove in the Scottish Highlands for ARC.
Request a Comfort Bear from Aching Arms
Aching Arms is a charity that provides comfort bears to bereaved parents after any kind of baby loss. These bears can be requested by bereaved parents through their website here.
You can also donate a bear in memory of your baby. More information can be found here.
